Privacy policy
This policy explains which personal data we process when you use Campsite Builder and this website, and why.

1. Controller

2. Legal bases
We process account and campsite data to perform our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in a secure service (Art. 6(1)(f)), and marketing e-mails only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).
3. Cookies
We set a login cookie (session_id, HttpOnly, valid until you log out) and a locale cookie; both are strictly necessary. Visit statistics are collected with a self-hosted Matomo instance configured without cookies or local storage: IP addresses are shortened before storage, the Do Not Track browser signal is honoured, data is aggregated and cannot be traced back to a person, and nothing is shared with third parties. This is why we show no cookie banner. Fonts and scripts are served from our own servers, not from Google.
4. Storage and processors
The application runs on servers of Contabo in Germany. Campsite files and thumbnails are stored with bunny.net (Slovenia) in a European storage region. Transactional e-mail is sent via our own mail servers (Valorsis e-mail hosting); no third-party e-mail provider is involved. Mollie processes subscription payments in the European Economic Area. All processors are bound by data processing agreements.
5. Shared maps
When you enable sharing, the map becomes reachable to anyone with the link. It does not contain personal data unless you add it yourself, for example names in labels.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase and export your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to complain to a supervisory authority. Write to info@campsitebuilder.com; we answer within one month.
7. Changes
We update this policy when the service changes. The current version is always published here.
